Abbie Smith

I am an animator with a first-class degree from Northumbria University, with an interest in combined analogue-digital art styles and practises. My first short animation 'Noise' was selected for Animart Festival, Cinemagic Young Filmmaker, and Margate Film Festival in 2021, and was made using oil paint stop motion to explore forgotten sounds in our day-to-day lives. My final short animation 'Loss + Gain' focuses on human wear on the things around us and uses photography and pastels to explore this idea. My specialism is 2D design whether this be in Adobe or physically, but I do have a foundational knowledge of 3D software.
